Improve Your Enjoyment Of Gardening By Getting A Wheelbarrow
I discovered how you can improve your enjoyment of gardening by getting a wheelbarrow
It is remarkable how we can struggle on for years doing the things we do in the way we have always done and then suddenly make a discovery that can change how we do things and make our lives much easier. My recent ‘aha moment’ was when I discovered how you can improve your enjoyment of gardening by getting a wheelbarrow.
Hard To Justify Getting A Wheelbarrow
Like lots of other gardeners I have never owned a wheelbarrow before. I had always thought my garden too small to justify getting a wheelbarrow and I had always associated them with men digging holes in the road or working on building sites.
I don’t spend a lot of time doing large landscaping works in my garden and most of the stuff I have to carry around my garden is fairly light in weight. A bucket full of pruning or weeds doesn’t weigh so much and I never felt the need for a wheelbarrow to make my gardening easier.
I am getting on in years now and bending and carrying has become more of a challenge and does lead to the odd ache and pain when I have spend an afternoon weeding or digging but I like to think I am still fairly active and mobile so when a friend said how useful a wheelbarrow was around the garden I didn’t pay too much attention.
However, when a friend offered to come over and help with a lot of cutting back I was planning I was glad of the company and when they turned up they brought their own wheelbarrow.
Carting Waste Cuttings Is So Much Easier
I was a little surprised but thought no more of it until the time when we were working together and making use of the wheelbarrow. Wow! I could not believe how much easier it made life. Carting prunings to the compost area was just so much easier and you could take so much more at a time.
It had never occurred to me before just how much time I spent walking backwards and forwards to the compost bin. With the wheelbarrow I made about a quarter of the number of trips and it was almost effortless to wheel the barrow along. My back and my bones were most appreciative and that might have been the first day of gardening in quite a while when my back did not lock up at the end of the day.
I Suggest You Consider Getting A Wheelbarrow
If you don’t have a garden wheelbarrow then I suggest you seriously consider getting one. You may have all sorts of reasons and excuses why you don’t need one, as I previously had, but I think a wheelbarrow is one of those things that you can only really appreciate once you have it and you will then wonder how you ever managed without a wheelbarrow in your garden. Take a look at this PLASTIC GARDEN WHEELBARROW and you may have an ‘AHA moment’ too.
